  • 27.NORMAN GUILBEAULT-Reil Musical Plea (Amb. Mag. 073) Great bassist Guilbeault leads an amazing 14 piece ensemble in an epic tribute to the controversial political figure Louis Reil. 2cds for $20.

  • Just spoke to my good pal Michel from the Victoriaville New Music Festival in Quebec. This is an incredible annual new music fest in the countryside of Quebec in May of each year. This year’s fest will include sets from:

  • 1.FRED FRITH & CHRIS CUTLER (first gig in North America in 15 years)
  • 2.FRED FRITH - LOUIS SCLAVIS JEAN-PIERRE DROUET
  • 3.TIM HODGKINSON THOMAS LIEN ROGER TURNER (Tim’s 1st time at Victo)
  • 4.DAVID THOMAS’ MIRROR MAN ENSEMBLE w/ Linda Thompson & Chris Cutler
  • 5.WILLEM BREUKER KOLLEKTIEF performs music with films
  • 6.JEAN DEROME & RENE LUSSIER new projects
  • 7.MARI KIMURA & ROBERTO MORALES incredible violinist & multi-instrumentalist from Mexico
  • This fest runs five days and has about 24 sets altogether, but does overlap with the Vision Festival a bit!?!
